Then - University of Washington 2008
The concept around Then is to investigate the possibilities of combining three dimensional stereoscopic imaging with sculptural design. Using the special camera rig I designend and won a grant for at the University of Washington I took a series of 3D photograhs. These were then converted and printed onto lenticular screens, which portray the depth of the images without needing the usual 3D glasses to see the illusion. Fragmented and cubistic slices of these images were then combined together to form a sculpture. This was result of a creative research grant from the UW. The discoveries and techniques I developed in the process are proof of concept for more extended aesthetic innovation I hope to accomplish in this direction.
