Toy Story 2 - Pixar 1999
Working as a Technical Director on the computer graphics film Toy Story 2, I held a few different roles. Early on in the film I was asked to research design for some of the objects used as props as pictured above. Later I also did some of the modeling for objects as well.
on in the film's inception I was a member of the layout department.
I was responsible for creating the organization of the sets, animation
blocking to hand off to the character animation department, and managing
the composition of the shots. This sequence represents a particularly
difficult compositional challange we faced as there were numerous characters
and actions that had to be staged very carefully to portray the action.
